Faison Enterprises, Inc. was founded in 1988 by Henry J. Faison. His vision was to create a firm that focused primarily on real estate investing but above all to be a good corporate citizen, contributing at generous levels to charitable organizations, on both the corporate and individual levels.

In 2019, Mr. Fetter was appointed President and CEO, bringing over 20 years of commercial real estate development, acquisition/disposition, asset management and structured finance experience across multiple asset classes.

Mr. Fetter joined Faison in 2012 as a multifamily developer. The division completed 10 projects and delivered over 3,000 units in the Southeast over a six-year period. Prior to Faison, Mr. Fetter held various senior positions with Charlotte-based commercial real estate firms.

Mr. Fetter graduated from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill in 1988. He earned his Master’s in Business Administration from The Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1996. Professional organizations include the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC). He is also a board member for the Childress Klein Center for Real Estate at UNC Charlotte's Belk College of Business.

Mr. Poplin joined Faison in 1990 and was initially responsible for capital forecasting and cash management. He has participated as a member of the company’s investment committee since 1994 representing over $3.2 billion of development and acquisition activity.

Mr. Poplin earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 1986 and was in public accounting prior to joining Faison.

Mr. Poplin is a Foundation For The Carolinas board member and is chair of the Stanly County Community Foundation. He is also a board member of Uwharrie Bank and Uwharrie Capital Corp and is a member of the Urban Land Institute.

Chris and his wife, Jackie, have two sons and one grandson. Chris is active with St. Martin’s Lutheran Church in Albemarle.

Mr. Seufert joined Faison in 2022 and oversees the company’s financial reporting, treasury, and tax functions.  He brings more than 16 years of prior experience in public accounting with Deloitte, where he served clients in the financial services industry with an emphasis on real estate developers, funds, and REITs.  He has extensive experience leading advisory teams on significant commercial real estate transactions and restructuring projects, focusing on value creation and risk mitigation.

Mr. Seufert graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Clemson University in 2003 and went on to earn his Master of Professional Accountancy from the same institution in 2005.  He holds an active CPA license in the state of North Carolina and is a member of the AICPA, NCACPA, and SCACPA.

Mr. Seufert has a passion for education and is an advocate for improving diversity and inclusion within the accounting profession.  He serves as an instructor in the Department of Accounting & Finance at North Carolina A&T State University, teaching a graduate-level tax class during the fall and spring semesters.

Outside of the office, Paul enjoys spending time with his wife, Holly, and their three sons – hiking, biking, or anything else outdoors.

Since 2008, Kristy Cox has worked at Faison in various accounting roles. Currently, she is responsible for retail, office and self-storage projects as well as corporate risk management. She graduated cum laude from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and obtained her North Carolina Certified Public Accounting License in 1991.

Ms. Cox volunteers for Hospice and Palliative Care Charlotte Region and enjoys spending time with her three grandchildren.

Julie Gardner joined Faison in 2012 as a senior accountant. She is responsible for multifamily and lot development projects as well as property level investment accounting.

Julie graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1995. She received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2003 and became a North Carolina Certified Public Accountant in 2005.

Outside of work or spending time with her family, Julie volunteers with the Children’s Ministry at her church.

Susan Hopkins joined Faison in 2005. Currently, Susan’s responsibilities include managing the office, corporate compliance, accounts payable, accounts receivable and administrative duties.

When Susan is not working or spending time with her three sons, she volunteers through various organizations at her church.

Roberta Hughes joined Faison in 2001 as the Assistant Controller and currently holds the position of Controller. Roberta is active in her community and enjoys volunteering with elementary students as a tutor under the Heart Math Tutoring Program.

Roberta graduated with honors from California State University, Fullerton with a BS in Business Administration and an emphasis in Accounting. Additionally, she graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a BA in Humanities, Phi Beta Kappa.

Roberta and her husband just finished raising three sons and currently are enjoying their empty nest.

Mr. Jones oversees all aspects of Faison’s corporate and partnership tax compliance. Throughout his more than 27 years at Faison, he has worked on a wide variety of tax issues inherent in real estate portfolios of all property types involving partner buyouts, corporate acquisitions, equity and debt structuring, like-kind exchanges, installment sales, special allocations/basis adjustments, and cost segregation studies.

In addition, he works directly with the company’s outside market advisors overseeing a portfolio of stocks and alternative investments while serving on the company’s Investment Committee.

Mr. Jones has been with Faison since 1992 when he started Faison’s Tax Department after working at KPMG Peat Marwick for several years. He graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Bob Jones University.

Mr. Lim joined Faison in 2022 to provide portfolio management responsibilities of existing portfolios and help expand new business capabilities.  He brings more than six years of commercial real estate experience in development, finance and asset management, along with significant multifamily experience, ranging from value-add execution to Class A, high-rise and urban infill. Mr. Lim managed a large Class A portfolio of more than 7,000 units across the Midwest and East Coast. Prior to Faison, Jon served as Director of Asset Management at LMC, A Lennar Company.

Mr. Lim graduated from Emory University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics in 2009. He earned his Master’s in Business Administration from The Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2016. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and serves on ULI Charlotte’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee.

In his free time, Jon is an avid golfer and tennis player. He also volunteers with early childhood education, specifically with children of resettled, refugee families.

Mr. McCoy is responsible for overseeing the management and financial performance of Faison's retail, office, residential and special assets. He has extensive experience with complex properties that operate through major development, renovation, expansion and remerchandising programs.

Prior to joining Faison in 1991, Mr. McCoy held property management positions with Strouse, Greenberg & Co., Inc. and The Center Companies. He received his Bachelor of Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Ken enjoys supporting and contributing to programs that nurture and encourage old time and traditional musical education for children and young adults.

Ms. Newman grew up in the mountains of western North Carolina. She received degrees in Accounting and Economics from the University of North Carolina at Asheville.

Ms. Newman joined Faison in 2000. She is responsible for cash management, forecasting, special projects and treasury services. Prior to joining Faison, she worked at the Hearst Corporation.

Mr. Robinson is responsible for the preparation and analysis of all investment opportunities being considered by the firm. Among others, his duties include financial modeling, due diligence oversight, debt placement, contract and legal services, and property-level forecasting.

Prior to joining Faison in 2006, Mr. Robinson worked at Bank of America. He received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Clemson University.

Molly Shaw is an independent social impact and philanthropic advisor who supports community foundations, corporations and private families. She served as President and CEO of Communities In Schools of Charlotte-Mecklenburg from 2011-2020 where she and 125 team members worked to empower, support and case-manage more than 30,000 students annually. Prior to joining Communities In Schools, Molly launched and led the Charlotte Teachers Institute, an initiative designed to strengthen teaching in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. She also spent several years at Davidson College in various fundraising roles.

She has served on community boards to support organizations that promote early childhood learning, literacy, youth development, supportive housing, foster care and adoption, workforce development, the arts and women’s collective giving. Molly is a graduate of Davidson College and the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She is married to David Webb and has two children, Max and Kate.
