From 1990 to 2000, the region witnessed a 172% increase in population, coupled by an infusion of high-end residential units. Currently, the population within five miles of the proposed retail center is 122,348 with a median household income of $117,026, according to 2003 Census reports.
Windward Crossing is located at the intersection of Windward Parkway and Cumming Highway (State Route 9), west of Georgia 400 and across from the Faison-developed Lowe’s and Kroger, as well as Wal-Mart and Home Depot. Construction on the 17.5-acre site is set to begin this summer.
