Costco to Anchor Alpharetta Shopping Center

Atlanta - March 29, 2004 - Faison Enterprises, Inc. (www.faison.com) announces today that Costco Wholesale Corporation will anchor Windward Crossing, a 155,000-square-foot shopping center, located in Alpharetta, Ga. In addition to Costco, the development will also include small shop space.

“For the past five years, Costco has been looking for the right location in Alpharetta,” explained Mike Cohn, senior managing director, Faison Enterprises, Inc. “Our Windward Crossing site offers the ideal location for Costco to tap into its potential customer base.”

“Alpharetta’s well-publicized growth has sent retailers flocking to grab the last retail-zoned sites on the city’s dominant arteries and capture their piece of this explosive market,” continued Cohn. From 1990 to 2000, the region witnessed a 172% increase in population, coupled by an infusion of high-end residential units. Currently, the population within five miles of the proposed retail center is 122,348 with a median household income of $117,026, according to 2003 Census reports.

Windward Crossing is located at the intersection of Windward Parkway and Cumming Highway (State Route 9), west of Georgia 400 and across from the Faison-developed Lowe’s and Kroger, as well as Wal-Mart and Home Depot. Construction on the 17.5-acre site is set to begin this summer.

Faison Enterprises, Inc. is a privately-held real estate investment company with a diversified product portfolio that includes retail, commercial and residential project development, management and acquisitions services. With more than 40 years in the business and holdings of approximately $1.3 billion, the Charlotte NC based company manages and develops properties throughout the South and Mid-Atlantic and maintains regional offices in Bethesda MD., Washington DC, Charlotte NC, Atlanta GA, Orlando and Delray Beach, FL.
