FAISON ELEVATES TWO CAROLINAS RETAIL DEVELOPMENT EXECS

Charlotte, NC – March 12, 2007 – Charlotte-based Faison Enterprises today announced that its Carolinas Retail Development operation would be co-headed by Managing Directors Britt Byrne and Bill Barnett, each of whom have been with the company for more than ten years. Faison CEO, Philip W. Norwood, stated, “We are pleased to provide advancement opportunities for Britt and Bill, who have served this organization so ably for a number of years. They are fully immersed in a very promising portfolio of development projects throughout the Carolinas, and we expect that pace of activity to accelerate under their leadership in the future.”
James H. Culpepper, IV, Faison’s Executive Vice President for Retail Development, added, “These two individuals have proven themselves over the years and are richly deserving of this advancement. They are well respected industry leaders with demonstrated development expertise, and we look forward to their increased responsibilities within our organization.
Byrne joined the Faison organization in 1993 and has risen through the ranks of project leasing to become a Managing Director of Development. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia and the Darden School of Business. During his career at Faison, Byrne has led the development of Mooresville Crossing Shopping Center, Alexander Place Promenade II and Alexander Place Crossing in Raleigh. He is an active member of ICSC and served for three years as C0-Chair of the North Carolina Government Relations Committee.
Barnett joined the Faison in 1994. As Managing Director of Development, he has led the development of Southpark Commons and Valley View Commons in Virginia; Aberdeen Commons, Aberdeen, North Carolina; and Northlake Commons in Charlotte. He is a graduate of Ithaca College and an active member of ICSC.
While Messrs. Byrne and Barnett will continue to function in a highly collegial and collaborative manner, they have individual responsibilities for overall performance of certain projects. Mr. Barnett is overseeing Northlake Commons and Amity Gardens in Charlotte; Raeford Crossing in Fayetteville, NC; Southern Lane in Roanoke, VA; Triangle Place Promenade in Raleigh and Myrtle Ridge in Myrtle Beach, SC. Mr. Byrne is directing Mooresville Crossing and Idlewild Crossing in the Charlotte are; Alexander Place Crossing and Wendell Crossing in Raleigh and Withers Preserve in Myrtle Beach, SC.
