James W. Apple, Jr.

Mr. Apple is responsible for all commercial and residential development activities at Faison. Prior to joining Faison in 2003, Mr. Apple was with Trammell Crow Company for 15 years serving in various leadership roles including Regional President and as a member of the Operating Committee.
Mr. Apple received his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Business Administration from the University of Alabama. He has served or is serving on the Board of Directors of North Carolina Dance Theater, Charlotte Center City Partners, Habitat for Humanity, Carolinas Raptor Center, National Association of Industrial and Office Properties and is a member of the Urban Land Institute.

Donald H. Deutsch, Jr.
Senior Managing Director
Washington, D.C. Commercial and Residential Services
Mr. Deutsch is responsible for Faison's commercial and residential development activities in the greater Washington D.C. metropolitan area. Since 2000, he has originated residential development in the DC market totaling almost 1,000 units.
Prior to joining Faison in 2003, he served as Managing Director of Trammell Crow Company's Carolinas business unit. From 1991 to 2000, Mr. Deutsch successfully executed over $750 million of office and industrial development for Trammell Crow Company. He also executed the development of two Charlotte Business District high-rise towers for a total of 1.7 million square feet, in addition to two suburban office parks and three industrial parks. Since joining Faison, he has focused on urban residential projects primarily in the DC metro area with over $130 million in project activity under development.
Mr. Deutsch received his Bachelor of Arts from Vanderbilt University and his Master of Business Administration from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration. He is the past President of National Association of Industrial and Office Properties in Charlotte and serves on the Executive Board of Goodwill Industries.

Russell E. Whitworth
Managing Director of Development

Mr. Whitworth is responsible for residential and commercial development in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. He brings more than 15 years of real estate experience to the company, with a considerable background in managing all aspects of residential development. In the course of his career, he has been directly responsible for over $600 million of construction volume including every form of residential projects from single family homes to luxury high-rises. His experience is diverse and extends to projects in Washington, DC, Virginia, Chicago, and the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area.
Prior to joining Faison in 2004, Mr. Whitworth served as Development Project Manager for Post Properties. His career background includes work with some of the nation's top general contracting firms including Turner Construction Company and The Clark Construction Group, where he served as a Senior Project Manager.
Mr. Whitworth holds a Bachelor of Science from Arizona State University in Construction Engineering and is currently studying for a Master of Science in Real Estate at Johns Hopkins University.

Neil B. Kapadia
Managing Director

Mr. Kapadia is responsible for originating new single-family lot developments in the Mid-Atlantic region. Prior to joining Faison in 2003, he was a partner in the Charlotte, North Carolina based law firm of Parker, Poe, Adams & Bernstein LLP where he counseled individual and institutional clients in all facets of real estate development, acquisition, sales, leasing, and financing. In addition to practicing law, he has also developed several residential neighborhoods for national homebuilders, and has been an active commercial real estate investor.
Mr. Kapadia received his Bachelor of Arts cum laude from Duke University in 1991 and his Juris Doctor from The University of Virginia School of Law in 1994.

Thomas W. Brasse
Project Manager - Lot Development
Mid-Atlantic Commercial and Residential Services
Mr. Brasse is responsible for overseeing all of the Charlotte area’s land development efforts. He brings 10 years of development, construction, engineering, and environmental experience to the company. Prior to joining Faison, he was Land Development Manager for KB Home in Charlotte where he was responsible for over $16 million in development projects. His experience also included time with Charlotte firms Hart & Hickman, PC, Stantec Consulting Services, Inc., Law Engineering, and GeoScience Group in the fields of environmental engineering, construction management, geotechnical evaluation, and construction materials testing.
Mr. Brasse received his Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the State University of New York at Oswego. He is a Professional Geologist in North and South Carolina, and a licensed Real Estate Broker in North Carolina. He is also actively involved in the HomeBuilders Association of Charlotte in the Land Development Council.

Chad E. Carlson
Assistant Developer

Mr. Carlson is responsible for commercial and residential development in the Mid-Atlantic region. He joined Faison in 2007 after earning his Masters in Business Administration for Harvard Business School. Prior to commencement, Mr. Carlson worked for Boston Consulting Group in Atlanta advising a public hotel company on its operating and negotiation strategy with owners and developers.
Previously, Mr. Carlson worked in corporate strategy and as a financial analyst for Carter’s, Inc., a leading children’s clothing company. His experience includes facilitating a $312 million acquisition and integration of Oshkosh B’Gosh.
Mr. Carlson received his Bachelors of Business of Administration, magna cum laude, from the University of Georgia, where he was captain of two NCAA championship tennis teams. Prior to completing his undergraduate degree, Mr. Carlson played professional tennis on the ATP tour for two years. He is also a member of the Brighter Future Foundation, a non-profit organization that promotes tennis and education for inner-city children.

George Stamatakos

Mr. Stamatakos is responsible for the execution and delivery of Faison's residential projects in the Charlotte area. He brings more than 15 years of real estate construction experience to the company, with a considerable background in managing all aspects of residential development. In the course of his career, he has been directly responsible for more than $1.2 billion of construction volume including every form of residential project from single family homes to luxury high-rises. His experience is diverse and extends to projects in Washington, DC, Virginia, the New York metropolitan area, and now Florida.
Prior to joining Faison in 2004, Mr. Stamatakos was a Senior Development Project Manager for Post Properties. In addition to his previous responsibilities at Post Properties, his career background includes employment with some of the nation's top general contracting firms including Morrison Knudson Corporation and the Clark Construction Group.
Mr. Stamatakos holds a Bachelor of Science from Georgia Southern University.

Robert A. Wilson
Senior Construction Manager

Mr. Wilson is responsible for coordinating the design and construction for all residential and multi-family projects. He brings more than 25 years of real estate construction experience to the company, with a background in managing all aspects project management from pre-design to completion. In the course of his career, he has consistently met or exceeded construction goals and led construction projects with budgets ranging from $3 million to $26.7 million. He has managed multiple types of residential and hotel projects and has considerable experience with multi-family projects. His experience extends to projects in all areas of North and South Carolina.
Prior to joining Faison in 2007, Mr. Wilson was a Senior Project Manager with David Drye Company for 10 years. In addition to his previous responsibilities at David Drye, his career background includes employment with several Charlotte-area construction firms and contractors, and he is a Licensed North Carolina Commercial General Contractor.

W. Herring, Jr. Senior Vice President

Mr. Herring is responsible for Faison's commercial, residential, and retail activities in the North Florida region. Prior to joining Faison in 2005, where he was a partner from 1993 - 1998, Mr.
Herring was Chairman and President of The Herring Group, which was acquired by Faison on July 1, 2005; previously he was President of The St. Joe Commercial Group; and Managing Director for Trammell Crow Company.
Mr. Herring received his Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in Urban Studies, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is Chairman of the Board of Advisors of Hamilton Holt School of Rollins College, Chairman of the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce, Trustee and Board Member of Orlando Museum of Art, a member of International Council of Shopping Centers and a member of Urban Land Institute.

David K. McLaughlin

Mr. McLaughlin is responsible for all Florida region construction activities.
Prior to joining Faison in 2007, Mr. McLaughlin was with National Retail Properties as Director of Development. Previously, Mr. McLaughlin was Development Manager for the Disney Development Company.
Mr. McLaughlin received his Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from Florida International University in Miami and a Master of Science degree in Construction Management from the University of Florida in Gainesville.
